Since what happened with 9/11 everything has change from that day to this future we are living in now. There are cameras everywhere to indicate that the country is safe. New York is full of cameras around Manhattan because this is the target point of the terrorists. Technology has advance in providing power to do things and without technology we are not able to do things we desire. Everything now uses technology, from video games such as Xbox and PS3 and with the help of the Internet we are able to connect wireless.Going back to using technology to connect cameras in every part of Manhattan because the only concern of the US is to keep the country safe.Not only is the concern with New York being the top target but every part of the USA has to be protected and all the country is trying to do is be at peace with everyone. With the use of technology people feel safer because if anything bad is happening networking computers and signals go right away to the government in order to keep everything under control and safe.In my opinion I am glad I have the availability to use technology because I am able to listen to my music and do all my school work.Technology is also useful in hospitals and companies because with these networking computers we are able to know what is going wrong and what should be fixed in order to proceed and be in a right position.Like money, technology is the one thing that moves the world. The US government is not going to stop at anything with their terrorism investigation and technology will help them keep everything under control and safe.

This passage conveys the idea of how the FBI or any other govermental service is able to find people who become very suspicious. These people are questioned in how they are able to get through computer networking with the touch of several keys and how to read all the messages that are posted in order to enter the backstage of the networking. It is never good to post things on the Internet because you know you are going to get caught any time because there are people behind a screen detecting who is looking up bad information and who is trying to get in and steal very valuable information. Google has become one of the top technology networking systems, in which you look up anything possible that you want from a person's identity to where the closest location of a place is. Google is all in one program that establishes a way of conducting better networking in order to find information at a faster pace. Google is the top company that provides everyone from valuable information for a research to pictures and videos of how things are viewed in our society.In my opinion is always bad to post ugly stuff on the public Internet because everyone sees it and then it is your fault and people don't take you seriously anymore because you are inmature.To be human and to use all these sources of the networking is a pleassure because you are able to find things within minutes and establish a conclusion to any research you are doing.

This advance of technology shows that through computer networking the speed of it is within minutes in order to provide your computer with a better safe antivirus. In my opinion when I get a virus threat on my computer I am immediately informed of such problem and right away I put an antivirus on it because many of my documents could be infected and lost. Each day technology comes out with ideas in order to keep computers in a safe position.Many of these antivirus might be expensive according to what you purchase and many of these antivirus convey a message that it is the best and it is very safe. This passage of Little Brother by Cory Doctorow shows that in school technology is so advanced that you can use it anywhere now. This secret messager that is being used is like using Skype or any other IM messenger.It is secret meaning that no one else in the schoool knows about it except for a few people.Darryl and Marcus are the ones that have the private conversation about the game they play according to Marcus the best game invented,the game is Harajuku Fun Madness.These labtops that the students use have hidden programs that no one else knows about, not even the board of Ed when they do their routine check ups. Like always Marcus was intelligent enough to know where all these hidden programs were and he always try to get around the Board's latest tests in order to get a hold of them.Technology and Intelligence now go together because most of the technology invented now is used from the intelligence of the brain.Experts in technology invent programs that could do anything from knowing your location to information needed to solve an experiment. In this world and in the future we are expericing that is much easier to get a hold of a person's identity within seconds, something the FBI uses.The advance of techology is shaping our future and soon we will not have to even move a finger because everything will be done for us using the source of the Internet and its computer networking. Overall in my opinion technology is more advanced than expected. We use technology with everything that surrounds us from being in school, working in a hospital or driving your car. Technlogy moves the world and people are so amazed with it because from back then to now technology has shape the world and tasks are done much easier now. In this passage the idea of using an IM to have a secret conversation without no one knowing gives us the idea that technology is advance and we could share information across networking but we should be very careful in doing so.

This passage goes back to one of the essential questions of what does it mean to be human? Lia in this passage says that as long as she was human she was okay. Without a leg or arm, or just one of each or no skin she was going to be happy if she was still human. I think even though she has been in an accident she has a lot of positivism within her because she does not care about everything else, but to be human is the most important thing for her because she can still be breathing. Another positivism part would have to be the everything is possible if you want it enough and this very true.
If the doctors want her to be normal again and to function well they will have to be positive that if they use the skills and technology required Lia will be human again and she will be happy.
The language that is used in this passage is of pure positivism and people that are like Lia will get far because they know what they want and if they don't have everything they need they can still make out in life but being human and being real. Overall I think this book gives in a lot of thought on how to be human in a new body and is like a symbolism to me because it means that even though all this things happen life still keeps going. "That had been my "homework" from the other day: design a pop-up for the download process, complete with catchy slogan, and a list of fabulous advantages available to every download recipient. Sascha thought it would tap into my creativity skills." Chapter 4 Page 57
Lia was still trying to get accustomed to her new body, but I think they pressure her to much. By saying that they pressure her to much I mean the doctors or others tell her move your arm or leg, or speak, she is still traumatized from the accident she had and that sometimes can't quite remember of. She is not able to speak or move yet, she cannot believe this is happening to her.
In this passage Sascha is asking Lia these questions because she wants to know if Lia still seems to have a little bit of creativity skills or options to be again who she was but now in a different body. Is hard for Lia to be accustomed because maybe experiences and memories are still capture within,but Lia already knew her body and how it felt to be her. All Lia wants is to be who she was before, with no arms or legs, but she wanted to be the same person. It was not possible because her body was dead, but Lia herself was still alive. Meaning that is great to still live and be human and be grateful that life is still within yourself and keep living in the present and in the future.
I think the people that only have one leg or no arm are the most grateful people that could exist because they don't complain like the healthy people do. Lia was in a different body, but she should be grateful that she did not die and that the doctors did everything to save her and transfer her into a new body,but alive.
The technique that is used to be able to write this passage is the technique of symbolism (the new body) because everything that surrounds Lia is the new body, to get accustomed to it and live with it for the rest of her life. For now she is still a little traumatized, but after knowing that she is still alive she is going to understand that with a new body and the same experiences and memories she can still be the Lia she was before.

Speaking to the doctors was like raising an eyebrow or moving an arm, but Lia could not do this, she felt paralyzed and no sensation of speaking was going to come to her. When people are in accidents nothing makes sense anymore and everything just becomes a bad idea and everything is seen in a negative way. Lia was connected into a machine that would speak for her whenever she thought of something and or an action, but what could Lia think of was why she had to be in that circumstance.
I think it was a good idea to connect this speaking machine that way Lia is able to speak her mind. Doctors are always finding a new way to make their patients seem that everything is fine and the pain or situation would pass. Doctors are determined to use their resources such as their technology to focus on their patients in order to establish ways that could report back to them of how the patients are doing.
This book is mainly written in like imagery form because I could always visualize what the doctors are telling Lia and the way she is responding. I have been to hospitals before and I am connecting how Lia is laying in that bed to all the patients I have seen in the emergency room and they are all connected by cables that transfer information to computers and where results come out.
